Brazil’s competition organizers appear to be determined to prevent Mercsk’s efforts to provide bids for the concession of the next station in Santos Port.
According to the country’s laws, operators present inside the port are excluded from presenting the first round offers on another-logic is that it provides an opportunity for new operators, increases competition and prevents the accumulation of monopolies, known in the circles of competition legislation as “a major reduction in competition.”
