Two offers of offers for the double European Union contract

The PKP Intercition is a bid for a tender for the supply and maintenance of 42 km/hour of the double EMUS, with an option for an additional 30 train.

Alstom made an offer for Zlotys 4.11 billion ($ 1.11 billion) to supply 42 EMUS and Zlotys 2.78 billion to maintain the new fleet for 30 years. Stadler has an attempt to supply trains with Zlotys 3.99 billion and Zlotys 3.27 billion to maintain.

PKP Intercition says that bids are now reviewing, before choosing a favorite bidder. The company also notes that both Alstom and Stadler have a long -circulating stock production facilities in Poland, located in Chorzów and SIEDLCE, respectively.

The tender was launched in October 2024, and is held as a competitive dialogue. According to the Polish Press Agency (PAP), expressions of attention were presented in December last year by Alstom, Stadler and Consortium led by Siemens Mobility.

PKP Intercition says negotiations with manufacturers that have witnessed the production of dual -floor dual -floor shares lasted for three months, with the aim of verifying technical solutions jointly and fully fulfilling this. Then manufacturers were invited to present their offers in April.

It is expected that 109 million passengers in 2030 will carry approximately 60 % in 2023, says PKP Intercity that investing in modern high -capacity trains is necessary. The operator carried a total of 78.5 million passengers in 2024, by 15 % in the previous year, and is expected to carry 88 million in 2025. He says that the double EMUS will be cheaper to buy and operate than the strong Rolling stock.

Pkp Intercity hopes that the first new EMUS is in the service about three and a half years, and spread it on its most crowded services that include roads from Warsaw to Ghadangsk, Wadih, Olsen, Roseno, Craco and Pactock.

Absorbing at least 480 passengers for each of them, the new trains will have an extension seats with individual tables, armrests, feet support, and adjustable lighting. The amenities for passengers will include Wi-Fi, power outlets, USB ports, as well as a quiet area, children’s area and dining area equipped with food and drink selling machines.

The first new EMU fleet of EMU will be equipped for ETCS of the 2 level, and will be approved for operation in the Czech Republic.
