Dat Freight & Analytics has agreed to obtain a Convoy platform from Flexport, with the addition of the best automation in its class and digital charging technology to its product portfolio.
The Convoy Mediterraneh platform provides a strong way to automate each aspect of shipping and communication with trusted truck transport companies. It is an ideal supplement for Dat One, the leading download panel for subscription in DAT, where approximately 700,000 burdens are published per day.

“We invested on the caravan platform because we saw its potential. In just 18 months, we improved the basic technology platform, and we re -lost the market, and increased its value significantly. Most importantly, we showed that the strong products market by separating the platform from the brokerage,” said Ryan Petersen, founder of Flexport. “We look forward to a permanent relationship as a DAT customer. This sale is a victory for the entire shipping industry, a DAT victory, and the Flexport victory.”
Flexport acquired the Convoy platform and related intellectual property in October 2023 and launched the Convoy platform as a matching service for all brokers in April 2024, and cultivating the platform with thousands of transport companies. Flexport’s vision and its investment in building and expanding the caravan platform for the broader market, as a neutral market, creates a great value for DAT and its customers.
Moreover, this acquisition will enhance DAT team and technology by adding:
- Deep experience: The leadership of the Bill Dreger, the engineers of the Convoy Platform, the product experts, and the operating professionals, who will join the DAT Executive Driving team.
- Wide -scale fraud: Convoy Platform Platform technology uses automatic learning and artificial intelligence models to verify the network transport companies and prevent harmful actors. With these advanced security features, brokers can reduce the risk of fraud and reach a reliable network of carrier capacity, while increasing their efficiency and developing their business.
- Easy -use mobile phone experience: The caravan platform for high carrier satisfaction and ease of use has been identified. Today, approximately 30,000 transport companies-workers are used in the first place and small truck transport companies-the application to find loads and paper management and receive payments and more.
- Fast and reliable payments: Each company is transferred to the caravan platform qualified to get their salaries via QuickPay. It is easy to use and is available on each load on the platform, providing another option for fast payments for tankers.
DAT will finally merge the Convoy platform into the Dat One product. This will allow brokers to arrive smoothly on each of the automated and police charging match options, and to give transport companies a faster and easier way to find quality loads from reliable brokers, with support and access to the DAT scale.
