Giving a primary school student is a golden star for teachers to reward students’ achievements in the classroom. It also helps to inhibit unwanted behavior by students who fail to earn special stickers.
According to Netradyne, a California -based fleet safety provider, the similar strategy is an effective way to stimulate truck drivers’ behavior as well. The Netradyne’s Driver-I program uses computing and actual time analysis to identify safe driving behaviors when they happen; Then the “DriversTars” system is granted to obtain procedures such as increasing the next distance on the road or achieving lines of consecutive days or miles of accident -free safe driving. The company says that Driverstar’s labels enhance individual performance levels, which act as a catalyst to reduce accidents and improve and keep drivers safety.
This approach is different from traditional drivers training models that emphasize safety or errors. Instead, it benefits from the desire of individuals in positive reinforcement. By rewarding drivers on consistent and responsible performance, the platform helps fleet to create a culture of accountability, motivation and continuous improvement, the company says.
“Acknowledging the safe leadership is a reflection of the place where culture turns,” Avenyish Agrouwal, CEO of Netradyne, said in a statement. “He explains to us that safety is not only managed from top to bottom – the drivers themselves own it.”
