Italian high -speed construction grants

Civil -Cosenza Security Civil Civil – Line Recio Calabria High -speed.

The Italian rail network for the Italian rail network granted a 1.6 billion euros of a web contract to carry out civil works in the PALA section 22.2 km – Cosenza from the high -speed speed line now between Salerno and RGGIO CALABRIA in southern Italy.

WeBUILD has a 60 % stake in the Federation, which also includes Ghella, Pizzarotti and Seli, which is the subsidiary Webuild company specialized in the tunnel. An estimated 1500 people will be employed in the project, including third -party suppliers.

Almost all of the Paa -Cosenza section will work underground. The main structures include the 15 km long santomarco tunnel, which will require the deployment of four boring machines for the tunnel (TBM) to dig double -track double players. The new tunnel will be determined 100 meters from a single -track tunnel, which will be stopped once the work is completed.

Other civil works include a total of nine bridges of the railway and two bridges, one of the 350 -meter crossing on the A2 highway and the second is a 205 -meter -long structure across the Settimo course. A new station will be built in the Montalto UFFUGO, which also serves the university campus in Rende.

In 2023, RFI Xenia of Webuild, Pizzarotti, Ghella and Tunnel Pro were awarded a 2.8 billion euros of 1A contract for the Salerno – Regio Calabria project, which includes civil works in the Battipaglia – Romagnano section.

This section includes the 3 -kilometer of Saginara tunnel, as what webiled described as the largest TBM in Europe was launched earlier this year. TBM is 130 meters long, weighs 4000 tons and is equipped with a cut -off head of 13.5 m.
