Honoring the famous academic Remo Van Hook with a distinguished service award

The Board of Directors of the Supply Series (CSCMP) has admitted the recognition of a world famous and famous researcher Remo Van Hook for his lifelong commitment to strengthening the profession of the supply chain by presenting the Distinguished Service Award for the year 2025. The professor of supply chain management at Arkansas University will also be appointed at the Celebrity Series Hall in CSCMP, which is the Sa`d Van Hook itself in its founding.

Van Hook said it was “very modest” for the award, which was widely recognized as one of the best achievements in the profession. Among the winners of the Excellence Prize in the previous award H. Lee Scott, former CEO of Walmart Corp. ; Farid Smith, former CEO and Fedex founder; Donald Porzox, former professor and honorary dean at Michigan State University, is a logistical influencer and management of the academic supply chain and researchers.


Van Hook’s work as a widespread and deep researcher. It has contributed to more than 100 publications, including international textbooks The leading purchasing strategy (Now in the fourth version), Logistics and strategy management (Now in the sixth version), and Blockchain in the supply chain. His research focused on topics such as risks, re -equipment, sustainability, supplier diversity programs, and digitization. Van Hoek recently published articles in Business review at Harvard University And mit Slon’s management review On Wall Mart’s efforts to automate suppliers negotiations.

VAN HOEK also has extensive experience in the world of companies, which works in executive positions in organizations such as Walt Disney, PWC, and Cofie, the brand of energy services and environmental efficiency of French multinational GDF Suez.

Van Hoek became a full -time professor to manage the supply chain at the University of Arkansas in 2018. Van Hook says his return to academic circles was driven by the belief that he could serve this field through teaching and research, which had the ability to reach thousands of professionals.

“As a leader, it is your commitment to service,” says Van Hoyk. “In the academic circles, hundreds of students are studying a semester, not just a few of 100 people who happened in my organization. Thus, I can do a lot towards this service mission.”

In addition, Van Hook says that working in academic circles on research gives it freedom of innovation on a wider scale and then working with dozens of organizations to see these new ideas operate in the real world.

Throughout his career, Van Hoek has been a long member and a strong supporter of CSCMP. In addition to the service in many committees over the years, Van Hoek as Chairman of the Board of Directors of CSCMP from 2017-2018. During that time, the concept of creating a famous supply chain hall was presented. Van Hawk later ran with the idea, where he got funding for the construction of a festive site for the celebrity hall in Rogers, Arkansas, and hosted it through the College of Business Administration at Arkansas University.
