- Re15 EMDEN – Rheine – Münster

- Re62 Rheine – Osnabrück – Löhne, and

The total size is 6.2 million km annually and will be allowed for bidders to use current trading stocks, taking into account the minimum specifications that will be determined by the public transport authorities that will launch the tender in August 2026.
Frankfurt extension
The Public Transport Authority in the main Frankfurt AM (RMV) mentioned its intention to extend the current contract with DB Rigio (DB) of the German railway (DB) to run S-Bahn services on the partial Gallus network that includes the following methods:
- S3: Bad Soden – Niederhöchstadt – Frankfurt Rödelheim – Frankfurt West – Frankfurt Main Station – Frankfurt South
- S4: kronberg – niederhöchstadt – Frankfurt West – Frankfurt Main Station – Frankfurt South
- S5: Friedrichsdorf – Bad Homburg – Frankfurt Rödelheim – Frankfurt West – Frankfurt Main Station – Frankfurt South,
- S6: Friedberg – Bad Vilby – Frankfurt West – Frankfurt Main Station – Frankfurt South – Langen – DarMstadt.
The current contract is scheduled to end on December 8, 2029 and RMV plans to launch a new tender, including the condition of providing a new stock. However, the delay in infrastructure and signs of improvement projects on Frankfurt means that the delivery of new trains by 2029 is now impossible, forcing RMV to extend the current contract to December 2032. At the present time, DB Regio is working on a fleet of 71 of the 423 EMU for these services, and is expected to rise to 79 episodes by 2029.
RMV expects DB Regio to be the only bid for the new giving. Earlier this year, DB launched a tender for up to 400 trains based on the S-Bahn 2029+ concept that will provide new fleets for major German cities including Munich and Cototgart, as well as Frankfurt. So RMV expects the bid to be turned as a negotiation without competition.
