China exports: The provinces see sharp declines by 265 %

Chinese provinces are witnessing sharply different effects on their exports to the United States, with some sharp declines in registration while others see shipments rising by up to 265 %, according to a report issued by CIB Research. The data from the Indexbox platform confirms the general trend, as China’s exports to the United States decreased by 15.5 % year on year in the first eight months of 2025.

Commercial effects are very unequal across the country more than 30 areas at the boycott level. Six centers of the eastern coastal – Gangdong, Zijiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Chandong, and Fujian – gathered nearly 80 % of the total value of China’s export to the United States during the first seven months of the year, making it particularly exposed to the adjustments from the administration of President Donald Trump.
