GATX agrees to the main cart with DB charging

German railways (DB) entered the sale and rental agreement for 6000 vehicles.

GARE RAIL (GRE) says it has concluded a sale and rental agreement with DB shipping, which includes the acquisition of approximately 6000 vehicles.

According to the conditions of the deal, which you expect GRE will be completed by the end of this year and subject to organizational approval, GRE will get the vehicles and rent them to shipping DB for a period of several years.

The treatment, whose value has not been revealed, includes a wide range of carts. It is possible that it will help in the DB Cargo attempts to return to profitability, which the European Union (EU) has requested by 2026 to avoid the procedure on what it deems unlawful, which may lead to the dismantling of the company.

The deal will also benefit from the parent company of DB Cargo, GERMAN RAIL (DB), which last month issued temporary financial results.

As of June 30, the GRE fleet consists of about 30,500 vehicles, which would expand to 36500 when the DB charging deal was completed.
