Tracklaying begins with a railway in Lithuania

Work is scheduled to work on section 8.8km šVeicarija – žimiai by the end of this year.

The RB RAIL Projects Delivery Company has announced the official start of Tracklaying on the new railway line 1435 mm in the Jonava area of ​​Lithuania, where the šVeicarija section is 8.8 km.

Tracklaying is implemented by a joint venue for UNICUS from Germany and its affiliate company, Leonard Weiss Ou. 13.9 million euros was awarded earlier this year by LTG Infra.

Responsible for the introduction of the railway project in Lithuania, LTG Infra has purchased its follow -up materials that include 86,200 tons of gray, 29,500 from strengthened concrete, and 42 km of railways, which are placed along 25 meters.

“Planning, design and preparation takes a large part of the project’s schedule,” says Egidijus Lazauskas. “Our priority now is to maintain the momentum we have achieved last year and continue to advance at a pace.”

Other sections

Elsewhere in Lithuania, civil works take place in the Kaunas – Panevėys section, with 77 km of bridge and structures under construction. The work is expected to be in progress in 114 km of the railway in Tika by the end of this year, including Tracklaying and building a new bridge over the Neris River, which will be longer in Lithuania.

In Estonia, the RB Rail Works reports are taking place at 105 km, with contracts signed for 200 km of civil works and Tracklaying. A total of 202 km of the Baltic railway will be operated in Latvia, where the work focuses on the southern section of the main line between Riga and the Lituanian border. By the end of this year, 43 % of the Baltic railway will be ready for construction, says RB Rail.
