The Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) has canceled the licenses of seven CMA CGM vessels, claiming that the line violates surcharge rules.
The action was taken after CMA CGM announced the emergency cost recovery surcharge on 26 October.
The French carrier said it will charge between $45 and $145 for dry bulk containers, up to $245 for out-of-gauge boxes and up to $305 for dangerous containers to cover the recent increase in port tariffs.
