Aerobic bags for the side curtain now are standard in new Volvo trucks

Volvo North America trucks have announced that the integrated side airbags will now be standard equipment on new Volvo truck models that are designed for the North American market

Volvo Trucks North America has announced that the integrated side airbags will now be record equipment for new Volvo truck models designed for the North American market. This represents another industry first for Volvo trucks. Volvo Trucks presented the front airbag in 1996 with the launch of the VN model and made the standard equipment to move forward.

The airbags are designed for the side curtain for publication in the extension, providing additional protection for both the driver and the passenger. The deportation operations are still among the most severe types of crash, as approximately half of all the truck deaths. * By making the aerobic side of the side curtains standard, Volvo Trucks expands the scope of access to an installed safety that can help reduce injuries and deaths in these high -impact situations. This additional protection will now be standard in all Volvo Vnl and VNR as part of the Volvo’s first safety approach.

“Safety is part of our DNA in Volvo, and we continue to drive the road to improving road safety,” said Peter Farhov, President of Volvo in North America. “Our vision of zero accidents means that the Volvo truck should not be involved in an accident. By making air bags measurements for side curtains, we take another important step towards protecting both drivers and passengers in some of the most dangerous crash scenarios.”

Safety Command legacy inheritance

This teacher has relied on Volvo’s decades ago for safety. In 1959, Volvo invented a three -point safety belt and made the design available freely, a decision due to the provision of millions of lives. Volvo was also the first hard truck factory in North America to offer high -strength steel cars, electronic stability control, and recently an automatic emergency call system linking trucks directly to 911 after the deployment of airbags. With airbags for the usual side curtains now through the new team lineup, Volvo Trucks continues to set new standards to protect drivers, passengers and everyone on the road.
