Truckload Carriers in Truckload is looking for a new leader after he announced today that current President Jim Ward will retire in the coming months.
TCA said since he became the president of TCA in 2022, she played a pivotal role in enhancing the association’s impact, expanding its programs and deepening its participation with the members. The Virginia -based group is dry, cooler, flat, carrier tankers, and multimedia containers operating throughout North America, including operators more than 220,000 trucks.
“The leadership of Jim had a permanent impact on TCA and the entire truck payload manufacturer,” Karen Smirchik, Chairman of TCA and Ferry Chairman for Trucks said in a statement. “This transition reflects the next step in the carefully considered Caliphate plan, and we are very grateful for the stability and strength that Jim brought to the association.”
In preparation for this transition, TCA has created a search committee charged with determining a Ward successor. The committee is obligated to choose a leader who will continue in the group’s mission and values, with growth progress, strengthening relations in Washington and adopting innovation and technology.
