Belgian strikes intensify, affecting the flow of goods at airports and transport hubs

Belgium is witnessing the disruption of freight flows as strikes increase, leading to the cancellation of hundreds of flights at Brussels Airport and the closure of ports.

The industrial strike carried out by pilots at the Belgian Antwerp-Brugge hub led to the closure of the ports of Antwerp and Zeebrugge yesterday evening, after an almost complete cessation of work until tomorrow morning.

Pilots have been challenging new state pension laws since October 5, but this week they joined a two-day strike.
