Robotaxi and delivery robot maker Avride raised $375 million

Avride, the autonomous delivery vehicle technology vendor, today announced $375 million in new funding from two notable backers; Its owners, Dutch artificial intelligence (AI) developer Nebius Group, and Uber Technologies Inc.

Avride, based in Austin, Texas, already had a business partnership with Uber, which plans to launch its Avride robotaxi service on the Uber platform by the end of 2025. Avride’s delivery robots are already fulfilling orders through the Uber Eats platform for hundreds of restaurants in Jersey City, Austin and Dallas.

Now, the new funding will enable Avride to accelerate its fleet growth, support AI-driven product development, and expand its offerings into new geographies.

“We are pleased to welcome Uber as a strategic investor who shares Avride’s vision and will enable the company to move faster and faster in pioneering AI-based autonomous transportation,” Arkady Voloz, founder and CEO of Nebius Group, said in a statement.
