Orbis is hosting the grand opening

Reusable packaging company Orbis Corporation celebrated the opening of its upgraded reusable manufacturing facility in Greenville, Texas, on October 27. Located 50 miles north of Dallas and in operation since earlier this year, the renovated facility produces reusable bags and pallets to transport, store and protect products in supply chain operations.

More than 100 guests joined Orbis leaders and local officials for the grand opening ceremony and facility tours.

The renovated facility has 420,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 240,000 square feet of warehouse space. Officials estimate it will create more than 190 new jobs within three years, with room for expansion in the future.

“The grand opening of our facility in Greenville represents an important milestone for Orbis,” company President Norm Kukoc said in a press release about the event. “This renovated facility not only expands our manufacturing capabilities and geographic reach, but also reinforces our commitment to sustainability and innovation. By repurposing an existing building and investing in advanced automation, we are better positioned to serve our customers with speed, efficiency and environmentally responsible solutions. This is a proud moment for our team and the Greenville community.”

The facility features advanced manufacturing automation to extract, process, palletize, decorate or label products, according to an Orbis spokesperson.

The event opened with remarks from Kukoc and Greg Sims, President and CEO of the Greenville Economic Development Corporation. Greenville Mayor Dr. Jerry Ransom also spoke, highlighting the “strong partnership between Orbis and the Greenville community,” according to the release.

“The grand opening was not only about honoring Orbis, but also its vision, which has consistently demonstrated innovation, growth and a strong commitment to excellence,” Ransom said in the press release. “Together we look forward to building a strong and lasting partnership, one that supports progress and shared success. We are excited to be part of the Orbis journey.”
