Flexibility to grow: Business leaders poll

An industry poll from BDO tax and consulting company shows that 61 % of business leaders are now giving priority to growth, after years of geopolitical shocks, economic opposite pioneers, and technological innovation.

This result came from a report entitled “Techton states 2025: The New Business Edge”, including responses collected in March and April of 1050 international executives in financial services, manufacturing, technology, retail, health care and other sectors.

The report asked how to prepare them for a future formed through electronic threats, fragmented markets and quick innovation. The researchers found that global leaders are investing in artificial intelligence (AI), enhancing data infrastructure, and including risk thinking in a culture of work to mitigate risks and gain a competitive advantage.

“The risks facing companies today cannot be denied,” Rick Opal, the global digital leader of BDO, said in a statement. In this environment, leaders must ask themselves: “Do I want to play the attack or defense? “Those who choose the crime must harness advanced technology to build flexible organizations, flexibility and preparation in the future.”

In other results:

  • Nearly three quarters (73 %) of CEOs agree that flexibility requires preparation for potential possible results, while nearly half (42 %) believe that their organization lacks the skills and infrastructure needed to actively move in market breakdowns.
  • Only 8 % of leaders expect a specific future through innovation and cooperation, and half of them (approximately 45 %) that data security concerns prevent their organization from investing more in artificial intelligence technologies.
  • Nearly half of the leaders (42 %) are concerned about keeping up with artificial intelligence. They say that data management has now become a strategic priority of the three best priority, because the horrific or “chaotic” data is the highest reason in which institutions may fail to benefit from the benefits of technology.
