Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened the 19.75 km yellow line in Bangaluru on August 10, with passenger services starting the next day.

The high metro line extends southeast of Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Street, where it interferes with the green line, to Delta Electronics Bommasandra. The line contains 16 stations, two of which will interfere with the future pink and blue lines.

The trains operate automatically without drivers using communications -based train control (CBTC). The standard scale line is electrified in 750V DC the third railway.

The line was to be opened in two phases, with the opening of the section from RV Road to the central silk panel in December 2023 and the department of the Central Silk Council to Bomasandra in June 2023. However, these dates were postponed due to the delay in construction and the delivery of trains from China.
