Omaha, Nebraska said on Monday that Union Pacific Railward added 15 sites through eight states to the list of appropriate sites for warehouses designated for plans or industrial facilities.
This brings the company to a total of 39 “focus sites”, which are railway centers where it can focus resources, manage logistics services effectively, and provide targeted services to its customers.
The expansion adds facilities in Arkansas, Illinois, Kondas, Louisiana, Nebraska, Washington, Washkonsen, Oregon and Texas. Of the 15 new sites, 12 of these sites are located on short railways that will provide companies with easy access to the rail network with a length of 32,000 miles, the company said.
“Our partnerships with short railways help expand our network while providing easier and faster access to our 23 countries.” “With the help of short lines, trucks will have greater access to both local and international markets, including Mexico, Canada and some of the country’s largest ports in Los Angeles and Long Beach.”
