Regiojet will launch four services in Poland and Leo Express will expand Prague – Ostrava – Krákow Service to Warsaw in 2026. Arriva will also return passenger services in two regional lines.
Regiojet will start tests between Krakow and Warsaw on September 18 to the official launch of Polish open passenger services to reach the Polish on December 14.
The goal of daily experimental running is to promote Regiojet brand and recruit employees. Eight people will work on REGIJET trains: driver, train manager, two Parisas and four rulers.
Regiojet will start running four open access services in Poland in December, although these trains will work in the “experimental situation spanning” until March 31, where more than 300 employees will be trained. The first passengers will use services on April 1, 2026:
- Warsaw – Boznan
- Krakow – Warsaw – Gdańsk- Gdynia
- Katowice – Ostrava – Prague, and
- Katowice – Ostrava – Vienna.
Ticket tickets can currently be purchased from April 1 from the Polish Regiojet website or in the Regiojet app. Points of sale in the stations in Krakow, Warsou and Boznan will be created from changing the schedule.
Regiojet request was approved to run open access services in Poland by UTK railway organizer in 2022. The trains will consist of used RIC and Vectron, TRXX MS2 or MS3 multi -voltage coaches.
Leo Express to run to Warsaw

Czech private operator Leo Express confirmed plans to expand Prague – Ostrava – Krákow to Warsaw from March 1, 2026.
The trains will run to Warsaw twice a day, with Liu increasing the frequency of Prague – Krakow service to four times a day. The time of the flight from Prague to Warsaw Wschodnia is 9 hours 20 minutes. It will take 2h 44 minutes from Kraków Główny to Warsaw Wschodnia.
Arfa wins PSO contract
Arriva has signed new agreements with the Kujawsko -Pomorskie area to operate services on Brodnica – Rypin and Wierzchucin – Laskowice from December 2026.
Arriva will return to the Brodnica – Rypin line for the first time in 26 years and the first time in five years on the wirezchucin – Laskowice line. The roads together will connect about 320,000 km annually, with at least six return flights daily. The contract is worth about 5 million euros.
Arriva already provides 50 % of the regional railway services at Kujawsko-Pomorskie, covering more than three million km a train annually. Arfa says that the power of expansion is in its place in the Polish market and supports the group’s strategy to make public transport more attractive and link societies.
He adds that the shares circulating for new services will be obtained from its wider European network.
