Five new high -speed trains are now working on the northeastern corridor between Washington, DC, New York and Boston.
Amtrak has officially launched a commercial operation with the first five of its new fleet of 28 NEXGEN Acela High -speed trains on August 27. I left the opening services with the new trains in the northeastern corridor Washington, DC, at 05:00 and Boston at 06:00.

On the plane, Alstom says that the expanded windows help increase the natural light to the maximum while providing high -quality seats designed with an improved legs, with winged head bacilli that provides additional support for passengers.
Project
The $ 2.3 billion project has created an estimated 15,000 jobs in the United States. The contract was originally granted in 2016 by an operation that started in 2014.
Alstom assembles the fleet in New York, hiring 800 people at its peak at its facility in Hornl and 400 at its factory in Rochester. It has been used components of more than 180 resources from 29 states. Alstom says it has invested 87 million US dollars and “benefiting from millions in federal and state grants to build the largest designated passenger railway manufacturing facility” to complete the project.

Alstom will continue to work with Amtrak to maintain and serve trains under a 15 -year -old technology supply agreement that has an option to extend 15 years. Alstom says that trains are equipped for maintenance and prediction maintenance, with each train with about 100 sensors to monitor wear and prediction when critical parts need to be served or replaced. Alstom also guaranteed that it will provide any part of the spare parts within eight hours when needed.
